FSYBS SPONSORSHIP LETTER

Many of you are aware of the recent change regarding the Kelley Park Baseball Fields but for those of you who have not heard let us share with you the great news! Fort Smith Youth Baseball & Softball, a non-profit organization made up of community-minded volunteers, has been awarded the lease to operate the facility and the league at Kelley Park.

Two of the promises we made to the community were to include softball in our plans and implement instructional clinics. After only a few short weeks we have already done both. Our first instructional clinic drew 80 softball players to Hunt’s Park and we have had two more clinics where we drew a combined 175 baseball players to clinics at Hunt’s Park and Forsgren Field! We are excited to see the continued development of our players’ abilities as well as their character!

As you can imagine, operating a league of 70-plus teams is quite an undertaking. Starting that league from scratch is indeed quite another level. Our community’s youth can use your financial help!

We are seeking donations of any amount to apply to our operational fund. We also have established a scholarship fund to help defray the cost so everyone will have access to the beautiful turfed fields at Kelley Park. We would ask that you consider donating to either of these funds. Also available is the option to sponsor teams within our leagues. Your business or organization will have its name on dozens of youth running around town!

We know our community has always stepped up to help its youth and our citizens are a selfless group. If you would be willing to help please see your donation options in this packet.
